Ring Cycle

Ring Cycle
Richard Wagner turned the Nibelungenlied into a series of four operas under this name. They were: Rhinegold, Valkyrie, Siegfried, Twilight of the Gods, covering the whole story from the looting of the Treasure by the Aesir to the death of Siegfried, and the suicide of Brynhild. It is largely thanks to the great popularity of these works that the tragic story of Siegfried and Brynhild has become well known.
